Mumbai: A case of gang rape of a tribal woman has been registered against 17 accused in Damka, Jharkhand, India.
According to Indian media, the 35-year-old woman lodged an FIR in Mufsal police station that she was returning from the local bazaar with her husband and children when some accused stopped her in the evening and took her husband and children hostage. He was repeatedly abused.

The victim has named 1 person Ram Mohli in the case while 16 unknown persons are involved. Ram Mohli hails from the woman’s parents’ village. The woman also went to her parents’ house to help harvest the paddy.
Police have registered a case and conducted a medical examination of the woman. Further action will be taken in the light of the report and no arrest has been made so far.
