Black Panther 2: Beyoncé Latest Rumors Debunked

It was heard reportedly that Beyoncé is in talks with Disney and Marvel Studios for the soundtrack of BLACK PANTHER 2. Black Panther 2 is the upcoming movie of Marvel Studios. It is the sequel of Black Panther, which was released in 2018. Black Panther did a fabulous business of more than 1 billion dollars. 

Ryan Coogler, director of Black Panther, said about the film; 

“What’s so great about Panther is he’s a superhero who … [is] a leader in his country. It just so happens that the country is a warrior-based nation where the leaders have to be warriors, as well, so sometimes he has to go fight.”

It was announced by Marvel studios that Black panther 2 would be released in 2020. Black Panther 2 is an American superhero film based on the Marvel comic characters. Black Panther had great cultural importance, which drew the attention of Africans. As Black Panther was a blockbuster analyst says about this film series that;

“Many have wondered why Black Panther means so much to the black community and why schools, churches, and organizations have come to the theaters with so much excitement. The answer is that the movie brings a moment of positivity to a group of people often not the centerpiece of Hollywood movies… [Racial and ethnic socialization] helps to strengthen identity and helps reduce the likelihood of internalizing negative stereotypes about one’s ethnic group.”

Black Panther 2 is one of the most awaited films due to all this significance and prominence sequel. Fans are inquisitive about the cast, plot, setting, soundtracks, and trailer. Because of this much popularity, there are many rumors about Black Panther 2. 



There was news that Beyoncé is signing some projects with Disney as she is the perfect fit for their brand. Those projects were of million of dollars. One of her projects was related to the soundtrack of Black Panther, which was later proved wrong by Marvel studio’s production. Expectations of fans are too high; that is why directors want to produce an exceptional soundtrack for their upcoming movie “Black Panther 2”.

The rumor of Beyoncé being in the cast was debunked by Senior film writer Matt Donnelly. He tweeted;

“Despite overwhelming excitement at the prospect, sources tell me there is no big Disney film deal for Beyoncé, and she will not contribute to the soundtrack for BlackPanther2. As a self-professed proud member of the Disney family, she’ll likely work with them again at some point.”

Beyoncé had worked with Disney before in “THE LOIN KING,” voicing Nala’s character and contributing her singing talent. Beyoncé is a well-reputed artist and has become a significant part of Disney movies. She is eager to work with Marvel and Disney. 

Beyoncé’s history with superhero movies is a long tale of near misses. All the way back in 2008, she desires to play the role of Wonder Woman, believing it was ripe for a black actress to play a role in superhero films. We can expect that she will be involved with this project by seeing her views about comic movies.

But it is too early to tell about which singer is involved in the soundtrack of Black Panther 2 because the production studio has not revealed any news. The details of the plot of Black Panther 2 and the actors and artists who will be in this project are kept secret.

On social media, this rumor is also spread after the tweet of Matt Donnelly about debunking Beyoncé rumor that maybe Beyoncé could be called for casting her as a Superhero Strom in Black Panther 2.
