Trait Theory of Leadership
According to this theory, people are either born or are made with certain traits that will make them do exceptionally well in leadership roles. They have traits qualities such as the sense of responsibility, creativity, intelligence, and other attributes that puts anyone in the shoes of a good leader. This theory explains behaviors and personality traits that contribute to Leadership. The issue is that people may have comparable characteristics yet end up as very different and surprising leaders. Many people with the same behavior and personality end up with becoming one Leader and other with followers.
In all types of situations, the same leadership style is not suitable. So this theory explains the importance of leadership styles depending on the situation they find themselves in. The transactional idea of Leadership: Do or Die
Max Weber and Bernard M. Bass explain this theory. The foundation of the idea is the concept of rewards and punishments. You will reward your members or give sentences depending on whether they achieve the goal or not set by you. According to psychologists, human needs are represented in the form of a pyramid.
